Admission presupposes that a student’s application has satisfactorily met all the entrance requirements of the University.

Enrollment in the University is a contractual relationship between the students and the Administration. A student is admitted with definite understanding that he and his parents or guardians agree to comply with the scholastic standards of the University and its rules governing student’s behavior. The administration is empowered to deal with violations in accordance with its systems of discipline and guidance.

Admission to the University is made with no discrimination on the grounds of religious belief, race, sex, age or physical disability.


A student seeking admission to the University must be a graduate of a standard secondary course offered by a duly recognized school and must have passed the NEU Admission Test and Medical & Physical Examination. A student whose eligibility for admission has been verified must submit to the Registrar or his authorized representatives the following:

For PEPT and NFE A&E Qualifiers
  • Certificate of Rating & Certification issued by DepEd.
Incoming freshmen
  • High School Fourth Year Card (F-138) or, in case this is not available, Third Year Card (F-138)
  • National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) Result.
Transferee Students
  • Transcript of Records (TOR) or Certification of Grades
  • Transfer Credential Certificate / Honorable Dismissal
Graduate Studies & Bachelor of Laws
  • Original & Photocopy of TOR with Special Order Number
  • Transfer Credential Certificate / Honorable Dismissal
Foreign Students
  • Original & Photocopy of TOR/Scholastic Records duly authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post located in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence.
  • Clear copy of Applicant’s Passport with personal data, latest admission and authorized period to stay.
  • Police Clearance issued by the national police authorities in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence, authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post having consular jurisdiction over the said places.
Additional Requirements
  • Five (5) copies of 2″ x 2″ color Identical ID Pictures with printed name and signature of applicant at the back.
  • “Patotoo ng Lokal” for INC members
  • For Non-INC Member: Secure a recommendation (letter) from an INC Member and a Locale Resident Minister of INC Locale nearest to applicant’s residence attesting to his/her being good and law abiding citizen.
  • Certification of Good Moral Character from the last school attended and/or employer.
  • Photocopy of NSO – Authenticated Birth Certificate (for undergraduate degree students only).
Entry Grade Admission Requirements
  • 83 for the primary and secondary levels;
  • 85 for the tertiary level;
  • 25 weighted average for transferees to the tertiary level.
  • Audition
  • Audition Requirements for Piano:
  1. Czerny technical exercise or equivalent
  2. Bach invention, prelude, or fugue
  3. Classical Sonata
  4. Any of choice
  • Audition Requirements for Voice:
  1. One (1) Italian Song, (from Italian Anthology Book 1)
  2. One (1) Kundiman Song from any of the following Filipino composers: San Pedro, Abelardo, Santiago, Umali, F.P De Leon, or Silos.
  • Audition Requirements for Choral Conducting: Proficiency in voice and another instrument, preferably piano.
  • Audition requirements for Music Education: Proficiency in piano and another instrument, preferably piano.



Step 1. Secure NEU Form A from the Registrar’s Office (2nd Floor, Main Building)

Step 2. Submit the accomplished NEU Form A together with the above-mentioned documents.

Step 3. If the application for Admission to NEU is verified, proceed to the Cashier’s Office (Room 201 for            admission test fee payment.

Step 4 Proceed to the Guidance Office Room 214 for the schedule of admission test. Results of the admission test can be verified to the college which has jurisdiction in the course being applied for: (+632)981-42-21, Locals: Arts and Sciences, 3833; Business Administration, 3816; Education, 3814 Engineering, 3815; Graduate School, 3865; Law, 3895; and Nursing, 3889.

Step 5. Qualified applicants who passed the admission test shall coordinate with the Dean’s office for schedule of interview (No te: Bring all the admission requirements)

Step 6. Proceed to the NEU Clinic (Room 235) for medical assessment.

Step 7. Proceed to the Office of Student Discipline (OSD) (High School Bldg. Room 108) for orientation about school discipline policies.

Step 8. Return to the Registrar’s Office and submit all the admission requirements with the interview form for the issuance of certificate of admission.

Step 9. Check the posted schedule of enrolment and the rooms designated by the University for this purpose.

Step 10. Upon enrolment, proceed to the Cashier’s Office for Payment. (2nd Floor, Main Building)

Step 11. Upon payment, the student may proceed to the CSD office for photo capturing and the issuance of Identification Card. (Ground Floor, CET)
